Online games supplier Yggdrasil has released its first new title of the new year, Frost Queen Jackpots, which sees players search for hidden treasures inside the frozen palace of the beautiful Frost Queen.
It’s literally freezing in this royal domain where explorers are challenged to collect five identical gem-encrusted keys in the base game. Upon doing so, they will be awarded 10 extra spins for a chance to win five separate progressive jackpots. Each of the jackpots has its own specific color, including blue, green, purple, red, and orange, which corresponds to its seed value. Players are able to win multiple jackpots in the extra spin mode.
“Yggdrasil’s multi-feature jackpot games have been player favourites for a half decade.”
The low volatility video slot with 5 reels and 20 paylines, which are oriented from left to right, follows the same concept that is featured in many of the Cherry AB subsidiary’s local jackpot games that include player-favorite five-of-a-kind collectibles.
An interactive mode, the Treasure Chest Bonus Game sees players choose one of three treasure chests from within the throne room. If the choice is successful, players can either collect a key to add to their collection or move on to the next level.
Frost Queen Jackpots, also awards spirited explorers with a pair of Mirror Scatters which activate the Pick and Click game, where players are able to select one of five chests, which in addition to keys, may contain extra spins or bonus games.
Senior Games Strategist for Yggdrasil Gaming, Jonas Strandman, used a company press release to comment on the new game, saying…
“Frost Queen Jackpots transports players to an icy castle in the bitter midwinter with the chance to escape with massive jackpots. Despite the cold theme, the audiovisual presentation gives a fuzzy warm feeling for the cold winter days.
“Yggdrasil’s multi-feature jackpot games have been player favourites for a half decade and Frost Queen Jackpots follows in line with simple rules, big variety of features and frequent jackpot chances.”
The new release follows the Swedish company’s December launch of Atlantis Megaways developed in partnership with YG Masters studio ReelPlay and utilizes Yggdrasil’s advanced GATI technology.
