The Square Pigeon’s Pipeline NCAA College Football Picks Week #10

Follow me on twitter @jasonbelschner. All the lines are on BookMaker.eu.

18 SMU at Temple

Temple generally fields a decent team through the past several seasons. This year, that isn’t true. The Owls were blown out by Tulane in their last game. It looks like SMU will cruise to an easy victory in this one.
PICK: SMU -18 OVER 62.5

25 Liberty at Virginia Tech

This game is indicative of the craziness this season. Liberty is ranked in the top 25 for the time in their short tenure in the FBS. Despite facing the unranked Virginia Tech, they are 16-point underdogs. I find it hard to believe that Liberty puts up any kind of fight.
PICK: VIRGINIA TECH -16 UNDER 67

23 Michigan at #13 Indiana

The Hoosiers come into this one with their highest rank since 1987. With a win this weekend, they could easily move into the top 10. This isn’t even an unlikely scenario since Michigan seems rudderless on the field this year.
PICK: INDIANA +3.5 UNDER 54

West Virginia at #22 Texas

Both of these teams have been disappointing this year. They each have two losses to teams they could have beaten. At least Texas has managed to turn around Sam Ehlinger around from his slow start. Ehlinger looks poised to salvage the Long Horns’ season.
PICK: TEXAS -5.5 OVER 55

Massachusetts at #16 Marshall

Another odd ranked team, Marshall, gets an easy game to move them up higher in the rankings. The highest the Thundering Herd has been in the polls is 10th in 1999 when they went 13-0 with Chad Pennington. There is a good chance they can win out. It might not be enough to crack the top 10.
PICK: MARSHALL -44 OVER 55.5

Kansas at #19 Oklahoma

While I’m still skeptical about Oklahoma belonging in the top 25, I guess they aren’t any worse than some of these other teams. They will even look like they belong this week since they will get to beat up on Kansas.
PICK: OKLAHOMA -38 OVER 63.5

8 Florida at #5 Georgia

This is a great rivalry game. It is always more fun when both teams are good. Florida dropped an unfortunate game against Texas A&M; however, Georgia hasn’t exactly excited the football world. Alabama beat them down, and then they barely beat Kentucky. I’ll take the Gators and the points.
PICK: FLORIDA +3 UNDER 52.5

Houston at #6 Cincinnati

Cincinnati has the chance to make it up to their highest rank in history. It seems to be a common story this season. Houston make be the best team left on their schedule (maybe UCF). They need to move up to third to be ranked higher than ever before. It will require them to win out in dominating fashion.
PICK: CINCINNATI -13.5 UNDER 54.5

14 Oklahoma State at Kansas State

The Cowboys let me down last week with a loss to Texas. I thought they were on their way to the top this season. They might be able to make it back to the top 10 if they win out. They will take this easy win and move forward with their weak schedule.
PICK: OKLAHOMA STATE -12 OVER 45

Baylor at #17 Iowa State

The spread is my biggest concern in this game. Iowa State has shown a limited ability to pull away in games this season. On the other sideline, Baylor has shown that they suck. I still like Baylor and the points. Iowa State will get the win but not cover.
PICK: BAYLOR +14 OVER 46.5

7 Texas A&M at South Carolina

South Carolina has been scrappy in most of their games this season. LSU really hammered them, but every other game was within a couple of scores. I don’t think that warrants less than double digit points from the Aggies. A&M’s only loss was to Alabama. They just might be a playoff team.
PICK: TEXAS A&M -9.5 OVER 58.5

Rutgers at #3 Ohio State

Greg Schiano has already made a drastic change in culture for Rutgers. It is truly amazing how much coaching brings to the table. Schiano faces a massive challenge this week against a well-coached and talented Ohio State team. There is no chance Rutgers can win; however, they aren’t the same pushover team.
PICK: RUTGERS +38 UNDER 64

Stanford at #12 Oregon

The PAC 12 season kicks off this weekend. Somehow without even playing a game, Oregon is still ranked 12th. I guess we will get to see if they belong to be that high. I’m no fan of Stanford, so I am betting the Ducks win big.
PICK: OREGON -8.5 OVER 51

1 Clemson at #4 Notre Dame

Trevor Lawrence will once again be out of action due to COVID. This is not the week that Clemson wanted him to miss. Notre Dame is playing good ball and should hand the top team in the nation their first loss.
PICK: NOTRE DAME +5 OVER 50

South Alabama at #15 Coastal Carolina

Why am I still writing about Coastal Carolina every week? I fear we will keep hearing about this team all season because they don’t play anyone who will beat them. It certainly won’t be South Alabama.
PICK: COASTAL CAROLINA -17.5 OVER 55
