The Grade II, $1,000,000 Breeders; Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint will run as Race 6 on Nov. 6 during the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.
The event for 2-year-olds will cover 5 1/2 furlongs on turf and include names like Golden Pal, After Five, Second of July, and Bodenheimer among the field of 17.

The morning-line favorite coming in at 8/5 is Ranlo Investments’, Golden Pal. The Uncle Mo colt is trained by Wesley Ward.

Last time out, he scored the Aug. 21 Skidmore Stakes (Black Type) at Saratoga, where he registered a 98 Speed Figure. He also took second in the Jun. 19 Norfolk Stakes (G2) at Ascot and second in an Apr. 17 maiden special weight race at Gulfstream.
Golden Pal will break from Post 14 under jockey Irad Ortiz, Jr.
He will be going up against Bryan Hillard’s Second of July, coming in at 8/1. The gelding from Jack Milton is trained by Phillip Gleaves.
He is 2-0-0 from two starts with earnings of $89,650.
His two performances include an Oct. 11 victory in the Futurity Stakes (G3) and a Sept. 20 maiden special weight race, both at Belmont Park.
Second of July will break from Post 13 under rider Dylan Davis.
Betting Preview: After Five, Bodenheimer
Another top entrant among the field is the 6/1 After Five, owned by Breeze Easy. The son of The Factor is trained by Wesley Ward.
He has a career record of 0-2-0 from two starts with earnings of $29,000.
The colt is coming off a runner-up effort in the Oct. 11 Futurity Stakes (G3) at Belmont Park, which followed a Sept. 10 maiden special weight race at Kentucky Downs where he finished second as well.
After Five will break from Post 9 under Jose Ortiz.
Kristen Boice and Marylou Holden’s Bodenheimer will also be among the field, coming in at 8/1. The Atta Boy Roy colt is trained by Valorie Lund.
He is 3-0-0 from four career starts with earnings of $141,225.
Last time out, he scored the Oct. 4 Indian Summer S. Presented by Keeneland Select at Keeneland. He also won the Aug. 22 Prairie Gold Juvenile Stakes (Black Type) at Prairie Meadows and a Jul. 29 maiden special weight race at Canterbury Park.
Bodenheimer will break from Post 10 under Brian Joseph Hernandez, Jr.
