Friday Lenten specials are offered at the Casino Cafe & Grille at the Tiverton Casino, 777 Tiverton Casino Blvd., (401) 816-6165. They will be served on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 17 from 4 to 9 p.m. and every Friday through April 2 from 4 to 10 p.m. Reservations are not required but are suggested via opentable.com. The specials include Baked Cod Newburg, $21; Seafood Newburg, $24, with lobster, scallops, shrimp and cod; Atlantic salmon, $22.99; and Twin Stuffed Sole, 24, with Imperial Shrimp Stuffing and Newburg Sauce. Wicked Good Bar and Grille, 100 Twin River Rd., Lincoln, (401) 475-8600, has a Lenten menu served on Ash Wednesday, Feb 17, from noon to 9 p.m. and Fridays during Lent through April 2 from noon to 10 p.m. They include a calamari appetizer, $9.95; and a special combo entree with Fish, Chips and Chowder, $16.95, with a half order of house fish served with fries, coleslaw and New England clam chowder. Virtual cooking classes
The Cumberland Public Library is offering new cooking class episodes featuring Lynne Daigneault. She’s offering recipes made in her kitchen on the library’s Youtube channel at youtube.com/user/CumberLib and new episodes are released every other Tuesday. You can register if you would like to be notified when new episodes go live. Already available are her demos on Tacos and Guacamole, Chicken Soup and starting Feb. 16, Stromboli, which she describes as what happens when a calzone and pizza make a baby.
The Greenwood Inn, 67 years young, has just introduced online ordering on their website at greenwoodinnri.com. The restaurant, is at 1350 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick, (401) 738.3334 and they are open Sunday to Thursday from noon to 8 p.m. and until 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday. They also have indoor dining with restrictions.
Gracies to Go is menu is live with most of their dining menu and their entire wine by the glass list available for takeout. The restaurant, at 194 Washington St., Providence, (401) 272-7811, graciesprov.com, is open Thursday to Sunday 5 to 9 p.m.

Boston Harbor Hotel has created a contest for frontline healthcare workers to win a microwedding to take place this spring. This is an all-expense paid microwedding package for ten people in the John Adams Presidential Suite overlooking the Boston waterfront. Entrees will be accepted through Friday, Feb.19 and the winner will be selected by March 1. Any frontline healthcare worker, defined as those currently working in a healthcare setting or care home facility, may enter at www.bhh.com/weddings/microwedding-giveaway by submitting a written or video entry as to why they would like the complimentary wedding and their role in the pandemic. The selected winner must show proof of employment to be deemed valid. The wedding date is subject to mutual agreement and noting there are blackout dates.
