Winning Powerball numbers for Wednesday, Jan. 6
Powerball drawings take place twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays after 11 p.m. EST. Winning numbers for this drawing will be posted after the conclusion of the drawing.
Winning numbers: Powerball:
Largest Powerball jackpot since 2019
This jackpot is the largest since March 2019 when a winning ticket from Wisconsin walked away with a $768.4 million prize.
In fact, the last time the grand prize hit was on Sept. 16, 2020 when a winner was sold in New York. Since that date, thirty-one Powerball drawings have been held without a jackpot winner.
Two second-place Match 5 winners for Jan. 2
However, that’s not to say that Powerball has not been paying out. Just for the Jan. 2, New Year drawing, more than 1.3 million tickets were winners. Obviously, prizes ranged from as little as $4 to $2 million.
A few big second-place winners resulted from this drawing. As a reminder, winning numbers for Jan. 2 were 3 – 4 – 11 – 41 – 67 with a red Powerball of 5.
A lucky winner from Arizona matched all five white balls to walk away with $1 million. Additionally, another ticket sold in Connecticut matched all five white balls but managed to double the $1 million prize to $2 million just by playing the $1 Power Play option.
