The long awaited grudge match few people ever thought would happen (especially this writer) is official. Doug Polk will play Daniel Negreanu heads-up starting on November 1.
Polk, who has been practicing at lower stakes, got impatient and tweeted to Negreanu to finally get something booked in, which he did:
Well this tweet is awkward. You all riled up eh!
You have been talking to Mori and Brent no? I have and they said they spoke with you.
All that’s left is waiting on a final legal opinion to see what options are available.
Nov 1st could work. Feel better?

Yes lets do Nov 1st
This process has been quite childish because you wont just hammer out the details with me unless its either A) A Tweet to everyone or B) Me hunting down people that can talk to you.

The match was confirmed yesterday to take place at WSOP.com and it appears it will be two tables of $200/$400 with 100 big blind stacks, which automatically top up. It will be 25,000 hands with the option for the losing player to quit after 12,500 or raise the stakes.
Sadly for the poker fans hole cards will not be shown, but Kane Kalas is set to provide Twitch commentary throughout:
3 or 4 of those things are new developments (including hearing back on date) and we still haven’t figured out where we are playing.
I’m good with commentary from Kane, streaming with webcam on delay, and 2 hour sessions. But I think we gotta do at least 2 sessions a day. https://t.co/G82hGbWiOL

So after years of hostility we might actually see some sort of closure on this long running feud (which Negreanu often points out has only ever been one way). Given the fact that both men are currently being sued by Mike Postle we may even see them reach some sort of truce by the end of it.
Who will win? Let us know in the comments:
