- Sevilla have won each of their last five La Liga games, conceding just once during that time.
- The visitors have only lost two of their last 16 matches in the Spanish top-flight.
- Osasuna have failed to win any of their last seven meetings with Sevilla, losing six of those games.
Sevilla to bounce back from European disappointment
Sevilla have been in impressive form in La Liga of late, as they have won five games on the bounce and have not even conceded a goal in any of their last four league games on the road.
Only the top-two in La Liga – Atletico and Real Madrid – have beaten Julen Lopetegui’s side in their last 16 league games.
However, Sevilla did suffer a 3-2 home defeat in the Champions League during the week to Borussia Dortmund and it will be interesting to see how they respond to that setback.
In truth, Osasuna could be the ideal opponents for Sevilla, as Monday’s hosts have lost six and drawn one of the last seven meetings between the two sides.
Jagoba Arrasate has seen his side win three of their last four league games, but they have all been against teams in eighth-place or lower in the standings, with fourth-place Sevilla certainly representing an upgrade.
The Andalusians won the reverse meeting between the two sides 1-0 at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan back in November and we are predicting a similar result on Sunday, particularly as no team has conceded fewer away goals than Sevilla in La Liga this season.
