NFL Week 8 Odds Boosts: How Often Will Eagles Score Vs. Cowboys?

NJ sportsbook apps resemble department and grocery stores. In this case, however, the well-informed bettors are the customers finding good deals.

In NFL Week 8, this might involve wagering on a three-team moneyline parlay. It can also mean player yardage totals, or touchdowns. But the best deal may simply involve grinding out a small profit by eliminating the vig.

DraftKings Sportsbook + prop shopping

DraftKings Sportsbook puts up player props closer to game time, but there are already some interesting team odds up.

And some involve this week’s Sunday Night Football Game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys.

In the game props menu, the first team to score offers interesting payouts.

  • Eagles touchdown+145
  • Eagles field goal +260
  • Dallas touchdown +325
  • Dallas field goal +500

Notice how long the field goal odds are becoming.

Aggressive play calling by NFL coaches reflects them going for it on 4th down from field goal range throughout the game. But on a first possession, a team may want to just grab three points. If that’s Dallas on Sunday night, this pays very well.

Thursday Night Football recap

First touchdown scorers are always popular, yet elusive. The time window is small.

The perfect example of this is Thursday night’s game between the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers.

Todd Gurley owners were salivating when his Falcons had 4th-and-inches from the Carolina 3-yard line on the game’s first possession. A quarterback sneak and then a couple handoffs to Gurley, right?

Nope. The Falcons crossed up the bettors and kicked a field goal.

Gurley did tally a late TD and paid as an anytime scorer. The payout, however, was at far lower odds.

Titans, Rams, and Packers parlay moneyline

DraftKings customers can take advantage of the three team moneyline parlay involving the Tennessee Titans, Los Angeles Rams, and Green Bay Packers. Take all of them to win on the moneyline, with boosted odds of +245, up from +198.

This is a good deal compared to the marketplace competition which would list this parlay under +200.

At the same time, this is not an easy one. The Titans have to win on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Rams have to win in Miami, and the Packers must defeat the Minnesota Vikings.

However, NJ sportsbooks have a pattern when it comes to many three-team moneyline parlays. A price like this involves three favorites. The price will rise dramatically whenever a decided underdog is added into the mix.

NFL Week 8 Fox Bet odds boosts

When it comes to odds boosts, Fox Bet has an assortment of excellent selections.

Can the Pittsburgh Steelers get a touchdown in each half against the Baltimore Ravens? Past performance would suggest so. Odds have been hiked to +100 from -133.

Not sure?

Looked at another way. You were laying odds of almost 7-5 on this before the boost, now it’s even money.

Sticking with the same game, will quarterbacks Ben Roethlisberger and Lamar Jackson each toss two touchdown passes? The odds are now boosted to +350, up from +300.

One’s first inclination would be yes. At the same time, there is a wild card factor to consider when it comes to Jackson. He is always a threat to score on a scamper, and has 14 career rushing touchdowns, including two this season.

Eagles-Cowboys on Sunday night

Here’s another question: Will the Philadelphia Eagles score in every quarter against the Dallas Cowboys?

This scenario is boosted to +200, up from +150. This is a deceiving bet as it looks automatic.

Why couldn’t a team be able to do that?

It comes out less than one would expect. There is always one quarter in each game in which a team gets the ball only twice and has little opportunity to score.

Plus, the Eagles have scored in every quarter just once this year. They usually score in three of the four quarters, and this is why the bet has a nice payout.

Carson Wentz backers may also want to look at the quarterback to throw at least there touchdowns against the Cowboys. This one is now +250, up slightly from +225.

Opposing teams are averaging 34.7 points per game against Dallas this season.

Other NFL Week 8 action

The Cleveland BrownsLas Vegas Raiders game is expected to be a shootout. With that in mind, will Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield have three or more passing touchdowns? This is now paying +350, up from +300.

With the same game, will Cleveland running back Kareem Hunt score the game’s first touchdown?

The odds are boosted to +600, up from +500.

And it’s hard not to talk about Dolphins rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who is starting his first game as a pro on Sunday. He is responsible for his own prop, even though it’s not listed as such, when his team hosts the Rams.

Can each team score at least one touchdown in each half? It’s up to +200 from +150.

This is a colossal no-brainer in most instances, but there’s a wild card here. There is no track record on how Tagovailoa will perform for an entire game, let alone each half.

Finally, Russell Wilson and Jimmy Garoppolo hook up as opposing quarterbacks when the Seattle Seahawks host the San Francisco 49ers. If they each hurl two touchdowns, the prop is boosted to +150.

This one is intriguing, yet tricky as Wilson is a threat to run for touchdowns and San Francisco is a run-first team. Nonetheless, this game is expected to be high scoring.

FanDuel Sportsbook parlay play

FanDuel Sportsbook has a nice NFL Week 8 deal for parlay bettors.

There is an opportunity to move the line one point each on the New England Patriots, Packers, and Indianapolis Colts. The Patriots go from +3.5 to +4.5 against the Buffalo Bills, the Packers change from-5.5 to -4.5 against the Vikings, and the Colts shift from -2.5 to -1.5 against the Detroit Lions.

Betters usually pay for this privilege but this odds boost pays you. It’s now paying +560, up from +469.

Get paid to get points. There is a $50 max bet.
