NFL Week 16 Odds: Game Lines, Picks and Predictions

  • Go to BetOnline or Bovada for updated NFL Week 16 odds – spreads, moneylines, over/unders and more
  • The Dolphins and Cardinals must win to reach the postseason, making them strong bets to cover against Las Vegas and San Francisco this weekend
  • Denver’s +160 money line is a good value against a Chargers team coming off two wins against poor competition

Sitting atop the NFL at 13-1, Kansas City has nine straight wins but somehow hasn’t covered since Week 8. At home to a 4-10 Falcons team, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs once again opened as big favorites but can they cover the 10.5 points?

To help give you a little extra spending money to capitalize on all those Boxing Week sales, we’ll look at all the Week 16 lines and recommend our best bets against the spread. As always, if you need some advice on how to wager on football, check out our NFL betting guide.

WEEK 16 NFL ODDS

BEST BETS OF THE WEEK

What’s something you don’t want to have when facing Patrick Mahomes? How about the league’s third-worst pass defense. While the Falcons have stayed competitive since Raheem Morris took over, dropping their last three games by a combined 12 points, expect the wheels to fall off this week after they blew a 24-7 third-quarter lead to Tom Brady (again!) and the Buccaneers on Sunday.

Once the Chiefs go up early, their pass defense should feast on Atlanta’s one-dimensional aerial attack. (Chiefs -10.5 at BetOnline)

At 9-5, the Dolphins need to win their final two games to make the playoffs. And as luck would have it, they’re facing a 7-7 Raiders club that has lost four of their past five games (with the one win coming courtesy of former Jets DC Gregg Williams).

Marcus Mariota gave Jon Gruden’s offense a shot in the arm against the Chargers last Thursday, but Brian Flores’ defense shouldn’t have too much trouble with the former No. 2-overall pick. (Dolphins -2.5 at Bovada)

MORE WINNING WAGERS

Known as one of the brightest offensive minds in football, Kyle Shanahan has a 28-34 record coaching the 49ers with three losing seasons under his belt. Losers of three straight and six of their past seven, San Francisco should continue their slide this Saturday against a Cardinals club that needs to win if they’re going to hold off the Bears for the 7th seed in the NFC.

Once touted on some parts of the Twittersphere as a better option than Jimmy Garoppolo, it’s now clear that quarterback Nick Mullens is a turnover machine with no hope of matching points against Kyler Murray. (Cardinals -3.5 at BetOnline)

Don’t look now but the Chargers have won two straight games. While one would hope Anthony Lynn has no chance at saving his job, stranger things have happened in the NFL. Just to be sure that young Justin Herbert is paired with a new, bright offensive mind this offseason, we’re going to take the Broncos to cover the 2.5 points and win outright.

Denver has dropped three of four games, but all those losses were against the league’s best teams (Chiefs, Saints, Bills) while Los Angeles barely scraped by the Falcons and Raiders. (Broncos +3 and +160 money line at Bovada).
