The Tennessee Titans and Cincinnati Bengals are ready to give it all they have in this Week 8 matchup. The game is set to start at 1 pm ET inside Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. The game will be televised on CBS for those in the area.
Both teams have gotten off to completely different starts this season, but it’s been a few years since they’ve last seen each other. The Titans and Bengals have met a total of 75 times (1 postseason game) in the history of the NFL, with the Titans holding a 40-34-1 record over Cincy.
Their last game came in mid-November 2017, and it was the Titans that walked away victorious. Don’t sleep on the Bengals, though. They’ve won three of the past five meetings between the two, despite only winning 5 of the past 16. We’ll see who comes out on top soon enough.
Tennessee Titans Betting Preview: Can the Titans Return to Their Winning Ways?
The Tennessee Titans held a perfect record heading into Week 7, but the Pittsburgh Steelers proved to be the better team. Now sitting at 5-1, the Titans still find themselves atop the AFC South division. They must be careful with the Colts right behind them at 4-2.
So far this season, the Titans are scoring at will. Their 31.3 points per game ranks 4th in the league, and they also rank 7th in the league in rushing yards (145.2 yards per game). On defense, they’re allowing just over 25 points per game and just under 130 yards rushing per game.
The Titans should be amped up after recording their first loss of the season. It was a game they were down 27-7 early in the third quarter but fought their way back with 17 unanswered points. They couldn’t score in the final 10 minutes of play, giving the Steelers a 3-point win.
Cincinnati Bengals Betting Preview: Will the Bengals Earn Their Second Win of the Season?
The Cincinnati Bengals are still trying to find themselves under rookie quarterback Joe Burrow. He’s shown glimpses of stellar play but has struggled to make that impact everyone was hoping for. He’s coming off his best performance of the season, where he finished with over 400 yards, three passing touchdowns, and one rushing touchdown.
It was Joe Burrow’s second time throwing for three passing touchdowns in one game, but his first time totaling four touchdowns in one game. It’s also his fifth time throwing over 300 yards in a game. Unfortunately, turnovers have been an issue all year long. He has five interceptions and eight fumbles.
Once Burrow figures out how to limit the mistakes, he’ll be able to put his team in a better position to win. For now, they’ll need to continue developing him in the NFL and giving him the opportunities he needs to grow as a quarterback in this league.
