The NCAA has confirmed plans to host the 2021 Division I men’s basketball championship entirely in Indiana. The 67-game tournament will be held throughout mid-March and April, with exact dates to be announced.

Most games will be played in Indianapolis at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Hinkle Fieldhouse, Indiana Farmers Coliseum, and Lucas Oil Stadium. Indiana University’s Assembly Hall in Bloomington and Purdue’s Mackey Arena in West Lafayette will also host games. The Final Four games will be held on April 3 and 5.

The NCAA will provide COVID-19 testing to players, coaches, administrators, and officials during the tournament. All teams will practice at the Indiana Convention Center, which has multiple courts and is connected to several Marriott hotels that will house most tournament teams courtesy of the NCAA.

The NCAA will monitor the pandemic and continue working with government officials before deciding whether or not fans will be permitted to attend games. A limited number of family members will be allowed to attend games. Additionally, the NCAA is considering playing its D-I women’s basketball tournament in San Antonio, but those plans have not been finalized.
