Friday’s Mega Millions drawing didn’t produce any winners, leaving the jackpot to climb to an astonishing near-billion dollar prize. That means the next Mega Millions drawing – set for tonight, Jan. 19 at 8 p.m. PT/11 p.m. ET – could produce a winner of $865 million (with a $638.8 million cash option.) That’s the second-largest Mega Million lottery prize in history.
Stay tuned to this story at PlayUSA – we’ll post the winning numbers here tonight. And if no winner is drawn tonight, remember, Mega Millions drawings happen every Tuesday and Friday nights.
Mega Millions jackpot keeps growing
Just a couple of weeks ago, the jackpot was barely over half a billion.
It has technically been four months since any Mega Millions winner has been drawn, leading to the large jackpot that’s up for grabs today. Now, lottery players are dealing with hours-long lines and waits across the country to get their hands on lottery tickets – and likely mentally going over their strategy for what to do if they win the lottery. Of course, Mega Millions comes with some pretty severe odds: 1 in 302.6 million.
Similarly, the Powerball jackpot has mushroomed to $730 million after no winner was drawn. The next drawing is on Jan. 20.
