- Lille have won four of their last six games against Brest
- Lille have won-to-nil in each of their last five matches
- Brest have lost three of their last five matches in Ligue 1
Lille Huge Favourites to Win
Lille secured a 1-0 win away at Dijon in midweek to earn their place in the next round of the Coupe de France and they will be joined there by Brest, who ran out 2-1 winners at home against Rodez. Lille sit top of the pile in Ligue 1, 2pts ahead of Lyon, while Brest currently occupy 12th spot in the table, 24pts adrift of the league leaders.
Brest did actually beat Lille 3-2 in November, but Lille have won four of the duo’s last six encounters in Ligue 1. Three of those four wins for Lille against Brest have been accompanied by clean sheets and featured under 2.5 goals, so we could have a low-scoring home win on our hands this weekend.
Lille are the form favourites with wins in each of their last six matches, the last five of which have all been accompanied by clean sheets. Brest have lost three of their last five outings in Ligue 1, conceding two or more goals in three of those games. Under 2.5 goals have been produced in four of Lille’s last five outings, adding further weight to a low-scoring 90-minutes this weekend.
We’re confident that Lille will win-to-nil on Sunday and have predicted a final scoreline of 2-0. The hosts are in top form and look like they could go all the way and win the league title this season, while breast seem destined for a mid-table finish.
