February in Las Vegas is best known for hosting some of the best Super Bowl parties in the world. Even with a global health crisis, the town was still expecting a big crowd for the big game. The first Sunday of the month was circled on the calendar for every area casino. However, the fireworks came early for Ellis Island Hotel, Casino & Brewery.
How Much Was The Large Las Vegas Six-Figure Slots Jackpot That Kicked Off The New Month?
This is not one of the casino properties on the famous Las Vegas Strip. Yet, it was in the news locally ahead of the upcoming Super Bowl festivities. On Tuesday, Feb. 2, a local player walked away with a life-changing jackpot to get things started in a big way.
Identified as David Frys, he hit a progressive slot jackpot of $905,754.63 playing a Buffalo Grand slot at Ellis Island. The big winner had this to say about his new found fortune:
“I’ve been playing at Ellis Island for years now and am absolutely in shock with this win. It’s not every Tuesday that you walk into your favorite local spot and leave with almost $1 million.”
Adding her thoughts to this exciting win was Christina Ellis as the Marketing Director for Ellis Island. She commented:
“With 2020 being such a difficult year for everyone in Las Vegas, we couldn’t be more thrilled to have a loyal and local player hit this jackpot. It’s especially exciting when we have winnings this large.”
A picture of the winning machine made its way onto a local news station covering the jackpot hit. Luck was on David’s side to win the Grand jackpot. This machine also offered a Super jackpot worth $585.56. The Major jackpot slipped down to $113.23. The other two jackpots were a Minor at $20.49 and a Mini at $10.76.
Local sources close to PlaySlots4RealMoney.com noted just how popular the Buffalo Grand progressive slot has become.
This slot game was created by Aristocrat Leisure as one of the biggest gaming manufacturers in the world. Buffalo Grand is one of the latest models in the ongoing Buffalo series. The Grand jackpot starts at a minimum of $500,000 and grows from there.
Another unique aspect of Buffalo Grand is that the game is only available for play at land-based casino venues. It has yet to be adapted for online play. Given the overall size of this slot, it tends to attract quite a bit of attention on any casino floor.
Given just how big everything seems to be in Las Vegas, Buffalo Grand has become a perfect fit in this high-profile gambling town.
This area landmark has been in business for more than 50 years. It remains a family owned and operated hotel casino resort. There are more than 300 slots with table games and a William Hill-operated sportsbook.
