Gambling industry behemoth Hard Rock International is ready to commence its new endeavor – Hard Rock Digital, a joint venture with gaming industry veterans Seminole Gaming which will act as a “vehicle for interactive gaming and global sports betting.”
This latest commitment to innovation and diversification by this brand will reach high-growth markets and leverage Seminole’s extensive database of over 130 million customers and almost 250 land-based venues across 76 countries to provide an omni channel interactive gaming and sports betting offering.
Broadening Digital Business
The official press release states…
…that Hard Rock Digital will be capitalized by Seminole Gaming and their partners, providing full financial support for this new project.
Hard Rock International’s chairman, Jim Allen, remarks:
“With the launch of Hard Rock Digital, we are broadening our digital business which enhances consumer experiences and offerings across our interactive gaming and sportsbook offerings. Hard Rock Digital also intends to pursue strategic branding and distribution opportunities both within the U.S. and globally. In the U.S. alone, the potential future market size is estimated at $7 billion for sports betting and $14 billion for online gaming*.”
Industry veterans Rafi Ashkenazi who is Hard Rock Digital’s executive managing director and executive chair, Marlon Goldstein, executive managing director and CEO and Matt Primeaux, executive managing director and president will manage Hard Rock Digital.
Ashkenazi will join Hard Rock Digital in 2021. The executives were previously a part of the leadership team that facilitated the growth and transformation of interactive gaming businesses such as Playtech, The Stars Group and FOX Bet.
There will be a new independent Board of Directors for Hard Rock Digital to whom the management team will report. The Board will be led by Jim Allen, chairman. The venture will have its headquarters in Hollywood, Florida.
