Golf Course Groundskeeper

TITLE: Golf Course Groundskeeper

DEPARTMENT: Golf Course / General Management

REPORTS TO: Golf Course Superintendent, Assistant and Technician



Some familiarity with tools, methods, and materials used in grounds and maintenance work; ability to operate trucks and light motorized equipment; and ability to follow written and oral directions. Must have valid Minnesota drivers license.


Operates powered equipment in trimming Golf Course greens, tees, fairways and roughs.

Lays sod, seeds tees and fairways.

Maintains sand traps.

Helps with irrigation repairs. Hand watering. Edging bunkers, sprinkler heads, yardage markers. Landscaping and improvement projects. Course set-up. Maintain ball washers and picks up garbage. Prune trees and shrubs. Maintain shrubs, flowers and landscaping. Rakes debris, leaves. May perform work involving large equipment, including tractors, skid loaders and other maintenance equipment. Be alert and inform Management if something appears out the ordinary on the Golf Course. Because of the diversity of work required in Golf Course Maintenance, a groundskeeper may be asked to perform work outside of their job description.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Regular attendance necessary.

Regular punctuality necessary.

Available and willing to work any changes in hours on the schedule at anytime during employment.


Present oneself as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel and encourage others to do so also.

1. Normal mobility throughout the facility.

2. Extensive walking. Bending and stooping repeatedly. Able to lift up to 70 lbs.
