It was not immediately clear now many viewers were impacted by the pay-per-view event on ESPN’s streaming channel. Many individuals were demanding refunds as they had to shell out $70 to watch the fight.

Some of the biggest names in sports tweeted out that they were unable to access. These included the UFC’s own fighters, as well as a former NFL Defensive Player of the Year and MLB Cy Young Award winner.

Yahoo Sports’ Kevin Iole was told that the outage occurred as 1.3 million viewers attempted to tune in at the same time.

Many venues nationwide charged top dollar to watch the fight in their establishments.
