JOB TITLE : Dacotah Dining Supervisor

DEPARTMENT :Dacotah Dining / Food & Beverage

REPORTS TO : Dacotah Manager

SUPERVISES : Dacotah Dining Staff


 Directly supervise and coordinate activities of Dacotah Dining staff to ensure the delivery of quality products and service.

 Supervise daily department operations.

 Assume managerial duties and responsibilities in department manager’s absence.

 Work opposite shift of Dacotah Dining Manager as needed.

 Schedule and assign stations to department staff.

 Hire, train, review and discipline department staff as required.

 Maintain and enforce department policies and procedures.

 Promptly address all guest and team member concerns in a respectful and professional manner.

 Maintain current knowledge of service procedures, menus, Micros operations and seating chart.

 Maintain accurate payroll, personnel, cash handling and sales records.

 Assist with inventory control as needed.

 Alert department manager of any inventory shortages.

 Evaluate and adjust staff levels according to business needs.

 Promote a high level of morale, productivity and efficiency.

 Perform various lobby and dining area functions as needed.

 Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


 Prior food and beverage experience required.

 Prior supervisory experience required.

 ServSafe certification preferred.


 Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

 Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

 Strong leadership skills.

 Strong point-of-sale and computer skills.

 Knowledge of casino and department policies and procedures.

 Knowledge of staff scheduling.

 Knowledge of menu and bar selections.

 Ability to work well and maintain composure under stressful conditions.

 Ability to inspire and motivate staff.

 Ability to maintain a flexible schedule..

 Ability to multi-task.


 Possess a sensitivity to various cultures, including Native American cultures.

 Regular attendance and punctuality.

 Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as business and staff levels dictate.

 Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel, and encourage others to do the same.
