Monchengladbach about to regain form
Neither Arminia Bielefeld or Borussia Monchengladbach are in great form heading into this match but the away side come into the contest at SchücoArena as favourites.
The hosts have won just twice at home all season, struggling to lift themselves out of the relegation places but a victory over bottom placed, Schalke, last time out certainly helped. Monchengladbach haven’t won in four games but have drawn three of those as the visitors continue to pick up points.
Picking up the three points this weekend won’t be easy for Monchengladbach though with the hosts likely to be buoyed by their recent win and a short winter break giving them some rest prior to this encounter. With that in mind, we see the visitors emerging with all three points having played out a tight game against the relegation contenders.
The away side will be without Marcus Thuram, who continues to serve a suspension, but they should have enough to come away with the win against a Bielefeld side lacking in quality. Struggling in the final third hasn’t been a problem for Monchengladbach this season and we can see this game featuring more than 2.5 goals as well as seeing the visitors claiming the win.
The tight nature of the game should be reflected in the scoreline though and we’re predicting a 2-1 win for Die Fohlen.
