Active adult communities boast amenities

Del Webb, one of the nation’s leading active adult builders, is rewriting the book on life for people ages 55 and better, said a company spokesperson.

“Del Webb believes in an active social life, rewarding experiences and being a part of an extraordinary community,” said the spokesperson. “That’s why in all three Dallas-area locations, you’ll find resort-style amenities, innovative fitness and wellness programs, groups that connect you to new friends and new interests and homes designed to fit your lifestyle.”

The amenities are the centerpiece of each community and include rooms for clubs and activities, fitness areas, coffee bars, fire pits and covered patios. Outdoor activities also abound, with resort-style pools, lounge areas and bocce ball, pickleball and tennis courts. Walking trails meander for miles through wooded pathways or open prairies.

Each community has a lifestyle director who keeps residents involved with themed parties, classes and outings.

“We’ve been able to have so much fun and stay connected even with the challenging environment,” said Andy Egelhoff, lifestyle director for Del Webb at Trinity Falls. “We’ve had virtual happy hours, wine tasting, Bingo, food trucks and even craft kits that homeowners take home and complete together on Zoom. Our homeowners are busier than ever.”

Del Webb has locations in Frisco, Little Elm and McKinney.

Frisco Lakes, a leader in North Texas for active adult communities for over a decade, is nearing closeout. Limited opportunities remain in this golf course community.

Del Webb at Union Park in Little Elm, which recently opened a new phase, occupies a countryside space within the greater master-planned community of Union Park.

Del Webb at Trinity Falls in McKinney has move-in-ready homes available for touring.

All three communities offer homes with open-concept layouts, pampering owner’s retreats and multifunction spaces that could be a home office, craft space, sunroom or game room. Multiple models are open daily at all locations and touring is the best way to envision how you would design your new home, said the spokesperson. Proper safety practices are followed to protect the health of homebuyers and employees.

Model hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Virtual tours and scheduled one-on-one appointments are also available.
