Two elite powerhouse programs will compete to become the next college football national champion. The Alabama Crimson Tide and Ohio State Buckeyes both enter undefeated and will look to take home the trophy.
Alabama Crimson Tide (12-0)
This is an Alabama team that is arguably one of the best, if not the best, under coach Nick Saban since his tenure dating back to 2007. In fact, they have two Heisman finalists on their roster in quarterback Mac Jones and wide receiver DeVonta Smith.
Jones has performed well under pressure, putting up 83.5 percent adjusted completion percentage just before their recent victory against Notre Dame. For example, in 85 dropbacks under pressure, Jones makes it look easy with a 14 to one touchdown to interception ratio.
Smith has put forth a great season too. He has 98 catches for 1,511 yards and 17 touchdowns. His recent performances against Notre Dame showed seven catches for 130 receiving yards.
To top it all off, their defense has been dominating teams. They also placed in the top 25 for defensive havoc, passing coverages and finishing drives.
Ohio State Buckeyes (7-0)
The Buckeyes had a shorter season than compared to most and it has been difficult to get a good read on this team. This is especially true since their schedule ranked outside the top 40 for strength.
However, they recently put a beating on the second ranked Clemson Tigers, 49-28. Quarterback Justin Fields threw for 385 yards with six touchdowns and one interception.
Trey Sermon was also impressive, having 31 carries for 193 yards and one touchdown. This team put up 21 unanswered points in the second quarter alone to have an offensive boost that Clemson could not overcome.
On paper, this matchup with Alabama looks very appealing on many levels. Both teams average almost the same on offense and defense with Alabama averaging better on both. Ohio State is averaging 42.5 points per game while allowing 21.

The market has significantly given Ohio State a lot of respect after their Clemson victory. Prior to this, people did not know how to judge the Buckeyes but they feel like they do now.
Alabama has been the team to beat all year. Pretty much if you had beat them at any point in the season then you it was a good indicator to become a champion and that is the case now.
This game has the making of a shoot out. We think this will be a very high scoring game. We are going to play the Over early and wait until closer to game time for the side.
