The 2019 NFL season is (slowly) approaching, and while the various teams begin to ramp up in anticipation of opening weekend, so is the sports betting industry in Las Vegas.
Sportsbook operator CG Technology is the first to release opening lines for the upcoming season, and they aren’t terribly optimistic about the New York Giants record for this year, predicting them to finish 4-11 through the season’s first 16 weeks. Their pessimism regarding the Giants in 2019 isn’t new and they projected the Giants to finish with a 6-10 record when they released their preliminary win total projection back on March 31st.
After the draft, and the roster shuffling which followed, CG Technology is predicting the Giants’ wins to be against the Buffalo Bills (Week 2), Washington Redskins (Week 4), Arizona Cardinals (Week 7), and Miami Dolphins (week 15).
The Giants’ week 17 game is at home against the Philadelphia Eagles. CG Technology hasn’t given lines on week 17 yet, but the Giants are 9.5-point underdogs on the road at Philly in week 14.
